By Abdullahi Yusuf

The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has invited three permanent secretaries for questioning over an alleged employment fraud in the state’s civil service.

The commission has also arrested two suspects over the scam.

The Chairman of the commission, Muhuyi Rimin-Gado, disclosed this to newsmen in Kano on Thursday.

Rimin-Gado stated that the commission had commenced an investigation into the scam which involved fraudulent sale of employment forms by the Office of the State Head of Service.

He said the fraudulent sale of the forms had deceived thousands of job seekers, adding that those found responsible would be brought to justice.

He said the State Government had mandated the commission to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter, and that preliminary findings “point to fraudulent activities in multiple agencies.”

The chairman said the two suspects in custody are cooperating with the commission as the investigation progresses, “which seeks to prevent corruption and ensure that justice is served.”
