Entrepreneurship: NDE Donates Starta Packs to 42 Beneficiaries in Adamawa

The National Directorate of Employment, NDE has distributed starta packs to forty two (42) beneficiaries for establishment of their individual businesses in Adamawa state.

Director General of the Directorate, Mal. Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo made the disclosure in Yola Monday during the distribution ceremony stressing that, the 42 beneficiaries were carefully selected from their various local government areas through the Directorate’s desk officers recommendation.

Represented by the state Acting Coordinator for the NDE, Bello Nuhu, Fikpo said the program was designed under the community based training scheme (CBTS) where beneficiaries are given three months intensive training on businesses of their choice at their localities.

Fikpo stated that the 42 beneficiaries were drawn from the 21 local councils and were attached to professional master trainers for both theorical and practical skills acquisition training in different business disciplines.

He charges them to use the knowledge impacted on them to be a source of self reliance economically for the benefits of the societies and themselves as well.

In his remarks,the Director, Vocational Skills Development of the Directorate, Abdullareem Abdullareem  urged the beneficiaries to use the knowledge acquired judicially by stepping it down to their people especially the young generation.

Speaking on behalf of the Director, Mal. Hassan Suleiman explained that 3 months special training is in line with the president Bola Tinubu’s administration policy of eradicating poverty and ensuring self reliance in the country.

He added that the beneficiaries were selected and trained in five thematic fields including Computer,Wood work, Welding, Fashion design as well as Leather work respectively.

In their separate responses to the opportunity as beneficiaries, Mohammad Sani Isah of Mubi North local government area and Miss Ana Silas of Shelleng local council expressed gratitude to NDE for the gesture pledging to be good ambassadors of the Directorate.
