Ex-Gov Badaru Admits I Perform Better – Gov Namadi
From Mika’il Tsoho, Dutse
Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has revealed that his predecessor, former Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, publicly acknowledged that Namadi has performed better in two years than he did during his tenure.
Namadi made the statement during a government-citizen engagement event (Gwamnati da Jama’a) held Sunday at the Garki Local Government Secretariat.
“Former Governor Badaru said openly in Auyo and Birnin Kudu that he had promised during the campaign that his successor would do better—and today, that promise has been fulfilled,” Namadi said.
He also prayed that his own successor would surpass his achievements. “When my tenure ends, I pray God blesses Jigawa with a leader who will do even better than I have, just as my predecessor did for me,” he added.
Governor Namadi thanked the people of Garki for presenting him with three awards in recognition of his leadership and performance. He also praised Garki for being the first local government to document all government projects carried out in the area within his two years in office.
He reaffirmed his commitment to serve Jigawa diligently and called for continued public support to build a better state.
