Fadama Cares Initiative Benefits Over 8,000 Farmers in Jigawa State

The Fadama Cares project in Jigawa State has provided agricultural inputs to more than 8,000 small-scale farmers.
Alhaji Aliyu Inuwa, the State Project Coordinator, made this announcement during the launch of the fifth phase of the program at the JASCO facility in Dutse.
He explained that the free agricultural inputs are part of the state government’s efforts to empower farmers and boost agricultural production.
The beneficiaries include rice, maize, millet, and sorghum farmers from all 27 local government areas, with a focus on vulnerable communities.
The project aims to enhance food security, create job opportunities, and promote agricultural development in Jigawa State.
The State Project Coordinator urged the beneficiaries to utilize the inputs effectively to achieve the desired outcomes.
He commended Governor Malam Umar Namadi for his unwavering commitment to improving agriculture in the state.
Several beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the governor for the support and pledged to use the agricultural inputs responsibly.
Malam Sale Sulaiman from Dundubus Dutse local government area stated that this was the first time he had received such assistance from the government.
