The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Jibril Ismail Falgore, has once again condemned in strong terms the gruesome killing of a mother and her six children in Kano State, describing the act as barbaric and painful.
In a statement released by the Speaker’s Spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, on Sunday, Falgore noted that the arrest of three suspects by the Nigeria Police Force is a welcome development and a step towards ensuring justice for the victims. He stressed that such heinous crimes must never go unpunished.
“This shocking incident committed against an innocent woman and her children is heartbreaking. While we commend the swift action of the police in arresting suspects, we urge that thorough investigations continue until all perpetrators are brought to justice,” Falgore stated.
The Speaker echoed the call of the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for authorities to ensure that justice is served without delay. He emphasized that the Kano State House of Assembly will continue to support all relevant security agencies in their efforts to protect lives and property.
Falgore conveyed his sincere condolences on behalf of the entire Assembly to the families of the victims, the government, and the people of Kano State. He urged citizens to remain calm and avoid any acts that could lead to further violence, assuring that justice will take its full course.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. May Almighty Allah forgive their shortcomings and grant them eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus,” he added.
