By Balarabe Idris
Today, we bid farewell to a remarkable broadcaster who has left an enduring legacy at FRCN Pride FM Gusau, a flagship station of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN). As Acting Head of Programmes, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with our retiring General Manager for the past 8 years. His leadership style, characterized by humility, diligence, and unwavering commitment to excellence, has been a constant source of inspiration.
FRCN, as an organization, prides itself on its strong work ethics and dedication to public service, and Mujtabba R. Bello’s tenure has been a shining example of this. His unshakeable integrity, honesty, and professionalism have earned him the admiration and respect of colleagues and stakeholders alike. He leaves behind a station that is stronger, more vibrant, and better equipped to serve its listenership.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to have worked under his guidance and mentorship. His impact on my growth and development as a professional is immeasurable. As he embarks on this new chapter, I wish him a happy, fulfilling retirement, filled with love, joy, and peace.
As we bid farewell to Mujtabba R. Bello, we also extend a warm welcome to our new General Manager, Abdallah Bello. We look forward to working with him as he build on the foundation laid by his predecessor. We are confident that the new GM will bring fresh perspectives and ideas to drive the station forward, while maintaining the high standards of excellence that Mujtabba R. Bello has set.
Here’s to Mujtabba R. Bello: thank you for your selfless service, your leadership, and your legacy. You will be deeply missed, but your impact will never be forgotten.
