FCE Yola provide palliatives to staff and students to ease hardship

The management of Federal College of Education (FCE) Yola has provided palliative support to it’s staff and students worth N7million.
Provost of the College, Professor Mohammed Usman Degereji disclosed the development in Yola Friday while distributing 1,500 Cartons of Indomie noodles to 3000 students living in the college’s campus.
Professor Degeriji said the present economic realities caused by the fuel subsidy removal in the country informed his management decision to cushion the effects by intervening in transportation and food security for staff and students.
Degereji stated that the management met and approved the N7million for the purchase of the noodles for the students while the college’s buses are fueled and dedicated to conveying staffs to and fro of college during and after working hours.
Responding on behalf of the college’s staff, Abubakar Bello,Dean school of sciences expressed gratitude to the management for coming to their aid at this trying times.
Bello said is no longer news the fuel pump prize which skyrocketed beyond comprehension noting that picking staff in the morning and taking back home after closing hours have really assisted them in a commendable.
He called on other administrators in the country to emulate the gesture of Professor Degereji’s style of leadership.
In her remarks on behalf of the students of the College,Miss Joy Angelou thanked the management for the support stressing that it will go a long way in boosting their academic performance.
