NDE trains 81 Jigawa PWDs on skills acquisition

The federal government of Nigeria through National Directorate of Employment (NDE) Jigawa office, has graduated 81 People With Disabilities (PWDs) on skills acquisition training.

Speaking during the ceremony held at the Federal secretariat Dutse, the coordinator of the Jigawa state National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Alhaji Hamza Garba said the beneficiaries were parts of graduates who undergo three months training.

The coordinator explained that the state trained 81 People Leaving With Disability (PWDs) under the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative conducted by the National Directorate of Employment NDE and National Commission for People Leaving With disabilities in demand skills across vocational training.

“This initiative has culminated in to the launching of resettlement of the trained beneficiaries to power participants to became not only self-employed but employers of labour”he said.

He noted that apart of PWDs the directorate also trained other beneficiaries whom commenced receiving working equipment and cash worth over N309, 000 for tailoring job shop renting in their respective choose areas.

“The package is a revolving loan to be pay back instalment and would be given to others to benefits”.

“I wish to thanks the national commission for people leaving with disability for their support through the Mobilization and management of persons with disabilities across Nigeria who participated in the programme”,Garba stated.

While speaking to news men, one of the beneficiaries Muhammad, commended federal government for the effort, and promised to make proper utilization of the packages and remain self reliance.
