Foodstuff Prices: Kwankwaso Urges Critics To Appreciate Tinubu
From Abdullahi Yusuf
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Kano State, Dr Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, has urged critics of President Bola Tinubu to show appreciation for the current falling of prices of foodstuff in the country.
“Instead of continuously attacking President Bola Tinubu and his administration unjustifiably, the critics should begin to appreciate the president now that prices of foodstuff and other essential commodities are falling across the country.
“The critics should also thank Mr President for the current appreciation of the Naira against the dollar which is now less than N1,500 to a dollar,” Kwankwaso said.
Kwankwaso, who is the Executive Director of Finance of the Hadejia-Jama’are River Basin Development Authority(HJRBDA), also advised the critics and other Nigerians to acknowledge the improvement of the security situation in the country, especially in the North.
According to him, the frequent arrests and subduing of bandits, kidnappers and other criminals by security personnel shows that the Tinubu administration is winning the war against crime and criminality.
“For this feat, Nigerians should commend the Minister of Defence, Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar, the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, as well as the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu,” he said.
He also noted that President Tinubu should be commended for approving over N500 billion for the completion of Abuja, Kaduna, Zaria to Kano road in the next 12 months.
The APC Stalwart said the completion of the Kano-Kaduna-Abuja road would facilitate smooth transportation as well as improve security of lives and property in the region.
According to him, the gesture showed that “Tinubu is the President of all Nigerians who treats all parts of the country with equity and fairness.”
