Former Chief of Air Staff MD Umar commissions NAF’s New Block’s in Kano

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar, has reiterated commitment to transform NAF into an agile and resilient force by taking care of the welfare of airmen and women.
Air Marshal H.B Abubakar disclosed this at the commissioning of four newly constructed blocks which include, Air Marshal MD Umar Trauma Complex, Eye Centre at 465 NAF Hospital Kano, Commandant Office Complex at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport Kano, Makia, and 6/2 bedroom SOQ Block A & B officers accommodation.
The special Guest of Honour, former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal MD Umar (rtd) described as a leader with integrity, vision, compassion and resilience performed the commissioning of the newly constructed four blocks on Tuesday 13th May, 2025.
Air Marshal MD Umar rtd, expressed gratitude to NAF witnessing the remarkable progress being recorded over the years especially under the current leadership of Air Marshal H.B Abubakar.
He urged the officers, airmen and women of the Nigerian Air force to continue to remain committed and steadfast with their noble duty of safeguarding the territorial integrity of our great Nation.
He also congratulated the Nigerian Air Force on its 61st Anniversary.
Present at the event were the host commandant, commander 455 Base Service Group of the Nigerian Air force, Kano, Group Captain M. Sulaiman, Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command, Ahmad Yusuf Dari, Commander of 465 Hospital, 403 flying training school:s commander, the commandant of Nigerian Army Bukavu Barracks Kano, Kano State Commissioner of Police as well as other top para military official.
