Foundation Secures Release of 51 Inmates in Adamawa

In celebration of Christmas and the founder’s birthday, the Yola-based humanitarian organization, Emnamu Foundation, facilitated the release of 51 inmates from various correctional facilities across Adamawa State.
The foundation, led by Dr. Emmanuel Nathan Musa, paid the fines and bail charges for the inmates, enabling their freedom. Additionally, over 1,000 patients at Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola, received cash donations to ease their burdens during the holiday season.
Dr. Musa advised the freed inmates to turn a new leaf and reintegrate positively into society. He encouraged them to pursue education and acquire skills to improve their livelihoods, pledging to collaborate with the correctional service to provide training equipment for inmates.
The Controller of the Adamawa Command, Nigeria Correctional Service, Garba Abubakar Salha, praised Dr. Musa for his impactful gesture, noting that it would help decongest facilities and urging other philanthropists to follow suit.
“Adamawa State and this command are fortunate to have a son like him,” Salha said.
Most Reverend Stephen Dami Mamza, Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese, commended Dr. Musa for his dedication to supporting the less privileged, urging Nigerians to emulate such humanitarian efforts.
During visits to Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital and Specialist Hospital Yola, Dr. Musa personally handed cash donations to patients and wished them a speedy recovery.
Beneficiaries of the foundation’s support expressed gratitude for the continuous assistance, including empowerment programs, relief materials, and the release of inmates.
Each of the 51 freed inmates also received ₦10,000 as transportation fare to their destinations, courtesy of the Emnamu Foundation.
