FRCN Journalist Ibrahim Yaro Honoured with Traditional Title in Daura

Ibrahim Yaro Dawakin Tofa, a respected journalist from Kano State, has been conferred with the traditional title of Santurakin Sardaunan Hausa, in recognition of his unwavering commitment to ethical journalism and community advancement.

The honour was bestowed by Honourable Alhassan Ado Doguwa, the newly installed Sardaunan Kasar Hausa Mai Tuta, during a colourful investiture ceremony held in Daura, Katsina State.

Yaro, who holds a Master’s degree in Public Relations from Bayero University, Kano (BUK), is widely regarded for his dedication to truth, balance, and professionalism in journalism. His career spans reputable media organisations, including Media Trust. He currently serves with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), where he continues to earn accolades for his integrity and diligence.

During the ceremony, Doguwa praised Yaro as a symbol of loyalty and commitment to shared societal values. He expressed confidence that the journalist would use his new role to further promote unity, cultural preservation, and socio-economic development within the Hausa community and beyond.

In his remarks, Yaro expressed heartfelt gratitude for the recognition, describing the honour as a call to greater service. He pledged to support the vision of the Sardaunan Kasar Hausa Mai Tuta and to continue promoting the cultural values and identity of the Hausa people both at home and on the global stage.
