FRSC, KAROTA strength ties to curb traffic, boost security in Kano

The Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC) has expressed its readiness to partner with Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA) to maintain sanity on major roads within the state.

The FRSC Sector Commander, Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi, made the disclosure when the Managing Director of the Agency, Engr. Faisal Mahmud-Kabir, paid a courtesy visit to the FRSC state headquarters.

In a statement released by Nabilusi Abubakar K/Nai’sa, KAROTA’s Public Relations Officer said the FRSC Sector Commander disclosed that their partnership will enhance road safety policy formulation to boost sanity on major roads.

According to him, “many tricycle operators are underage who are not trained on traffic rules and regulations.

“The Agency need to train and retrain their staff to enable them continue to coordinate motorists on all the roads in the state”, he said.

Abdullahi applaud the Agency for their contributions towards ensuring a hitch-free road usage within the state.

Earlier in his remarks, the Managing Director of KAROTA, Engr. Faisal Mahmud Kabir,  said he was at the FRSC State Headquarters to seek for improved synergy and cement existing cordial relationship.

Mahmud-Kabir also seek collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Corps in area of training and re-training of their personnel.
