Galileo Honours Raudah Travel & Tours for Decade of Excellence, Youth Empowerment

Galileo (Travelport), a leading global distribution system (GDS) and one of the world’s largest travel service providers, yesterday, has honoured Raudah Travel and Tours Ltd for its outstanding commitment and dedication to the travel industry.
The recognition came after nearly ten years of productive partnership between Galileo and Raudah, during which the latter distinguished itself through remarkable service delivery and a strong contribution to youth empowerment in Nigeria’s travel and tourism sector.
According to Galileo, Raudah earned the honour for its consistent performance and social impact, notably by providing employment opportunities for over 150 youths, many of whom have gone on to become employers of labour themselves.
Speaking during the award presentation, a representative of Raudah expressed surprise and gratitude over the recognition, noting that the company was unaware of the evaluation process.
“This is indeed a satisfactory achievement to us at Raudah, which we were not aware of, but the Mega Service Provider keeps a track record of every agency’s activities in the industry,” the statement read.
The event was graced by Professor Yakassai, who commended Raudah’s achievements and called for greater unity within the travel industry, particularly among stakeholders involved in Hajj and Umrah operations.
He emphasized that collaboration and the adoption of modern communication tools would strengthen the sector and create more job opportunities, especially in Northern Nigeria.
