Ganduje Advises Kano Students To Access Tinubu’s Students’ Loan Scheme

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje,has advised Kano State students to endeavour to access the Students Loans scheme provided by the Tinubu administration.

Ganduje gave the advice in an address at a
sensitization workshop on the Nigerian Education Loan Fund for students to understand modalities of accessing the loans.

The workshop was organized for the Kano State All Progressives Congress APC Students Council at the NUJ press centre,Kano,on Tuesday.

Represented by the Director-General of Gawuna/Garo Campaign Council,Alhaji Rabiu Suleiman Bichi, Ganduje underscored the importance of education and encouraged the students to apply for the Education Loan to boost their learning.

He said the aim of the sensitization workshop was to reawaken the students’ consciousness on the readiness of President Bola Tinubu to increase access to Education in the country.

“We have a visionary president who is working for a better Nigeria,”

The APC National Chairman also spoke on the advantages of the Education Loan Fund which include provisions of education to the vulnerable and less privileged.

In his remarks,the President of Kano State APC Students Council, Yahya Usman, said the aim of the workshop was to enlighten the students on the benefits of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund scheme.

Usman said the loan is accessible to all students as it is aimed at boosting tertiary Education.

He commended President Bola Tinubu for the his resolve to assist Nigerian students and urged Kano State students to utilize the opportunity to advance their education.

While providing insights on the significance of Nigerian Education Loan Fund Dr. Salim Hamza Ringim in his address, drew the attention of the students to understand the responsibilities and conditions guiding the Education Loan Fund.

He described the Nigerian Education Loan Fund as open ended as it is accessible until a student completes their Education.

Ringim noted that because of it’s simplicity, the terms are easier and flexible, taking into cognisance of the student’s financial status.

“The borrowers pay 15 percent of their income monthly for up to 25 years based on income repayment plan, while standard repayment plan requires students to pay fixed amount monthly for up to ten years,” he said.

Ringim urged the students to apply and obtain the Education Loan Fund to advance their career.

Kano State APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas represented by the party’s organizing secretary, Shafi’u Abdullahi, urged the students to embrace the loan scheme for the benefit of their education.

He urged them to support the party and policies of President Bola Tinubu.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu recently signed the Nigerian Education Loan Fund into law allowing Nigerian students to apply to access the loan and finance their education.
