Ganduje Condoles With Families of Kano Mosque Attack Victims

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC),Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje,has Condoled with the families of the recent attack on a Mosque at Gadan village in Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State.

Ganduje also visited the remaining seven victims of the attack at the Murtala Muhammed Specialists Hospital,Kano, where he prayed for their speedy recovery and gave them N50,000 each to assisted in their treatment.

A 38-year-old man, Shafi’u Abubakar, attacked the mosque with petrol bomb during early morning prayers,killing scores of worshippers and injuring many others.

The motive behind the attack is believed to be a family conflict over inheritance distribution.

Hospital sources have confirmed that 18 of the 25 victims of the explosion have died, while 7 others are currently receiving treatment at the Murtala Muhammed Specialists Hospital,Kano.

Condoling with the victims’ families at Gadan village on Thursday, Ganduje, who was represented by the Chairman of the Kano State chapter of the APC, Prince Abdullahi Abbas,prayed for the repose of the souls of victims of the mayhem.

He also prayed Allah to grant them the fortitude to beat the irreparable loss.

The APC National Chairman then donated N5 million and 50 bags of rice to the families of the victims of the explosion.

He also pledged to rebuild the mosque destroyed by the explosion.

Receiving the Ganduje delegation on behalf of the victims’ families, member representing the area at the Kano State House of Assembly, Abdullahi Lawan Tsamiyar Kara, thanked the APC National Chairman for the gesture and prayed Allah to reward him abundantly.

Earlier,the APC National Chairman also Condoled with Alhaji Abdullahi Yusuf Ata,a former Speaker of the State House of Assembly,at Fagge quarters,Kano, over the death of his wife.
