Ganduje Foundation sponsors free eye treatment for 1000 Jigawa residents

Ganduje Foundation has sponsored free eye treatment for 1000 residents of Jigawa State.
Aminu Dahiru, SSA to the National Chairman on Visual Communication&Events disclosed in a statement issued to newsmen that the exercise was held at Sambo Hospital Dutse in Jigawa State on Sunday.
All the beneficiaries were provided with medications and recommended eyeglasses, as some of them underwent eye surgery for a variety of eye diseases.
Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, who was present at the event, commended Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and his wife, Professor Hafsat Umar Ganduje for the gesture.
Namadi said he was not surprised by how Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is extending some of the human-centred projects he executed while he was the governor of Kano State to Jigawa state, saying Professor Hafsat Umar Ganduje is of Jigawa origins.
Ganduje attended the event in the company of his wife Professor Hafsat Umar Ganduje, his children and well-wishers.
The APC national chairman emphasized the important of sight, saying that was the main reason behind the exercise in the state.
He said that medical outreach is one of the service Ganduje foundation provide to Nigerians.
The beneficiaries commended the Ganduje foundation for the outreach.
They said that they were glad that they were provided with a number of eye-problem related services free of charge.
The outreach included surgery for a variety of eye diseases, and provision of medications and recommended eyeglasses to the beneficiaries.
