Gaya Emir Commissions New KPF Office Complex

The Emir of Gaya, His Highness Alh. Aliyu lbrahim Abdulkadir has performed the unveiling of a golden designed plate to commission a Secretariat office of Kano Patriotic Front (KPF) situated at No. 20 Gidan Sasisa House Zaria Road opposite Audu Bako Secretariat Kano.

The occasion was part of the series of activities marking the formal launching ceremony and taking up the activities of the association in Kano State.

The Emir represented by Alh Usman Alhaji the Warizin Gaya and the immediate past SSG commended the conveners for their resilience and commitment to come up with the initiative which is in critical need by the concerned people of Kano State.

The Emir, however, cautioned the leadership and members to work in consonant, unity and understanding with each other with a view to achieve the desired objectives of uplifting Kano and the lives of its citizens.

Earlier, at Mambayya House Gidan Mallam Aminu Kano Centre for Democratic Studies BUK, the occasion was marked with elegant speeches by some prominent scholars in the presence of the representatives of the first Class Emirs of Bichi, Gaya, Rano and Karaye and many distinguished personalities.

The Guest Speaker Prof.Tijjani Muhammad Naniya spoke at length on the evolution of Kano and its people, lamented vehemently on the level of societal decadence and the degradation of culture and traditions of Kano, stressing that formation of the movement with its perception and mission was a timely and in the right direction.

He advised the association to work assiduously with collective efforts of dedicated members aimed at addressing the inadequacies and revive the lost glory of Kano and its commercial and industrial and educational standards.

Also, in their separate remarks, the two discussants Prof Fatima Batul, Vice Chancellor Azman University Kano and Mal lbrahim Ado Kurawa, a renowned historian, upheld that it’s the right time for people of proven track records and integrity to embrace the association in its quest for lasting solutions to these numerous problems.

The Chairman of the occasion Alh Garba Abdulkadir Yakasai, former Managing Director Union Bank of Nigeria Plc commended the conveners for taking the bull by the horns to bring positive change for a better life of all the people of Kano State.

He, however, reminded that in pursuant of the vision and mission objectives, the leadership and members of the association must put in their minds the multi-ethnic, culture and homogeneous position of Kano and strongly advised the association to be steadfast and focused on the “hackling task” in the implementation of its programs.

In his address, the Chairman of the association Maj-General Ibrahim Sani (Rtd) said the primary concern for the establishment of the Front was to encourage people to be patriotic and pragmatic in their attitude towards salvaging our dear State from its deplorable status.

General lbrahim Sani mni (Rtd) who highlighted some of the reasons which necessitated the formation of the association, stating that the mission and vision of the Front are to be realised through mobilization of human and material resources, education, agricultural, commerce, industry, health, water and societal orientation.

He restated readiness of the association to partner and collaborate with the government and well-meaning individuals, groups as well as all good people of Kano State and beyond to help in strengthening good governance, policy and program execution to recover those lost glories of the state.

Also, in a welcome address, the Chairman KPF LOC Alh lbrahim Sadauki Kabara commended the executive and members for their enthusiastic backing up of the program and the confidence reposed on the members to carry out the assignment and accomplish the tasks successfully.

In a vote of thanks, the Secretary-General of the association, CP Balarabe Nayaya Suleiman fsi (Rtd) on behalf of the leadership and entire members gave special accolades to the LOC committee members for working day and night to ensure smooth conduct of the occasion.

He also expressed appreciation to all the invited guests for honouring the invitations and attending the occasion.

The occasion was wrapped-off with presentations of souvenirs and gifts to some distinguished personalities for their special support, encouragement and guidance to the association.
