Gombe Gov’t Boost NSCDC Operations with Vehicles Donations and Refurbishment

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Gombe State has received a significant operational boost, courtesy of the Gombe State Government.

Commandant Gyama Gyawiya showcased a fleet of operational vehicles, including five refurbished and three brand-new utility vehicles, during a formal presentation at the State Command Headquarters in Gombe.

Speaking at the event, Commandant Gyawiya expressed profound gratitude to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his commitment to enhancing the state’s security infrastructure.

In a statement issued by Public Relations Officer SC Buhari Sa’ad. noted that the vehicles, refurbished and newly acquired, are a testament to the government’s resolve to support the NSCDC in its mission to safeguard lives, protect critical infrastructure, and maintain public peace.

“These vehicles will be effectively deployed to enhance our operational efficiency. With this support, the NSCDC is better positioned to address security challenges, respond to emergencies, and ensure the safety of citizens across the state,” Commandant Gyawiya stated.

According to the statement , the refurbished vehicles, previously grounded, have been restored to full functionality. This includes a bus, which will aid in transporting personnel and equipment, significantly improving the corps’ logistical capabilities.

The new operational vehicles will further enhance the corps’ ability to respond swiftly to security issues.

The Commandant commended Governor Inuwa Yahaya for his administration’s proactive measures in strengthening the NSCDC, describing the donation and refurbishment as a critical investment in the state’s safety architecture.

This gesture is not the first show of support for the NSCDC. The Gadam Community Development Association (GACDA) recently donated a brand-new Toyota Hilux vehicle to the Gadam Division, further underscoring the importance of community partnership in addressing security challenges.

“The contributions from the government and organizations like GACDA underscore the collective responsibility required to achieve a safer Gombe State.

The NSCDC reassured the public of its unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring the security of lives and property across Gombe State.
