Gov. Buni Commissions Water Project in Sokoto

Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, on Monday inaugurated a water project executed by the Sokoto State Government.
According to a statement by Mamman Mohammed, Director‑General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, Buni, who served as the Special Guest of Honour, commended Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu for implementing the initiative, describing it as a people‑oriented project that will help address water scarcity in the state.
He stated that providing clean and accessible water would help reduce the prevalence of water‑borne illnesses and urged residents to take ownership of the project to ensure its sustainability and value.
In his remarks, Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to tackling water shortages across the state and expressed gratitude to Governor Buni for honoring the invitation to commission the project.
“I sincerely appreciate the honour done to us by my senior brother, Governor Mai Mala Buni, for accepting our invitation to commission this project,” Aliyu said.
