Gov. Buni pledges to strengthen working ties with NCS

The Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni has assured the commitment of his administration to strengthen the working relationship between the state and Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).

In a press statement signed by Mamman Mohammed, DG Press and Media Affairs to the Governor disclose, Governor Buni gave the assurances when he visited the Acting Comptroller General of Customs, Mr. Adewale Adeniyi.

The Governor said as a border state, Yobe government and Nigeria Customs need synergy in order to be proactive on security and other issues along the border.

Buni stated “the government and people of Yobe state would continue to support the Nigeria Customs and other security organizations to execute their duties effectively and successfully.

“While congratulating you on this well-deserved appointment, l wish to assure you of our support and cooperation in Yobe state,” he said.

The Customs Acting Comptroller General, Mr. Adewale Adeniyi, said Yobe state is very strategic for our border operations.

“We will appreciate your support to enlighten the people of Yobe state especially the border communities to assist us execute our duties” Adeniyi said.

He commended Gov. Buni for the visit, assuring that he would also replicate the visit in order to build on the existing relationship.
