Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has approved the immediate removal of six political appointees as part of efforts to improve governance and service delivery in the state.
The decision was announced in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau.
According to the statement, the move is aimed at repositioning government for greater efficiency and aligning operations with the administration’s priorities.
Those affected include Timothy Golu, Gwottson Fom, Nanbol Rimvyat, Nannim Langyi, Paul Datugum, and Nimchak Rims, who served in various liaison and advisory capacities.
In a related development, the governor also approved the suspension of the Chairman of the Plateau State House of Assembly Service Commission, Johnbull Shakarau, over alleged misconduct.
The statement says the action is pending further review of the matter.
The government thanked the affected officials for their service and directed them to hand over all government property in their possession with immediate effect.
