Gov Namadi empowers 1,500 youths with N75 million

The Jigawa state Governor Malam Umar Namadi on Wednesday launched N75 million empowerment program for 1,500 youths in the state.
The governor also during the occasion launched a website designed for empowerment registration to all Jigawa citizens.
According to him, each of the 1,500 beneficiaries will get the support of 50,000 as empowerment to support his business across the 27 local governments in the state.
Namadi also charged the beneficiaries to use the funds appropriately and boost their business and engage others to benefit.
The governor who expressed concern on how Jigawa state is rated among the states suffering from high levels of poverty promised to use empowerment programs to turn the situation.
He then assured more support from the government through more empowerment programs to salvage the state and its people from poverty.
