Gov. Radda Commends Female Participation in Police Recruitment Exercise
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has commended the increased number of female participants in the recent police recruitment exercise, highlighting their commitment to serving their fatherland.
Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary to the Katsina State Governor disclosed this commendation in a statement issued to newsmen on Saturday.
According to Kaula, the governor made this observation during a courtesy visit by the screening team conducting the 2023 recruitment exercise in the state. Led by an Assistant Director from the Police Service Commission and the State Commissioner of Police, the team was welcomed at the Government House.
Expressing satisfaction with the adherence to due process during the screening exercise, Governor Radda reiterated the state administration’s commitment to providing necessary support for the smooth conduct of the recruitment process.
Following the visit, Mr. Ramjul Dangin, the team lead from the Police Service Commission in Abuja, briefed journalists on their progress. He disclosed that the team had screened over nineteen thousand out of about twenty-four thousand candidates who presented themselves for screening.
Mr. Ramjul particularly noted the remarkable turnout of over three hundred female candidates, marking a significant milestone in the recruitment process. However, he also reported that two candidates were identified with forged documents during the screening and have since been apprehended for legal proceedings.
In expressing gratitude, Mr. Ramjul acknowledged the support received from the state government, including logistical and manpower assistance, which facilitated the smooth execution of their duties.
The commitment demonstrated by both the candidates and the state government underscores the collective effort towards ensuring a transparent and effective recruitment process within Katsina State.
