Gov Yusuf Flags Off 5km Road Project In Ghari LGA

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State on Saturday flagged off the construction of a 5-kilometre road project at Kunchi town in Ghari Local Government Area of the state.
The exercise is part of his administration’s efforts to implement 5-kilometre road projects across the state.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in Kano.
According to the statement, the Governor noted that the project was initiated during the second tenure of Senator Rabi’u Kwankwaso to develop rural communities, but was abandoned by the immediate past administration in the state.
Yusuf commended the people of the area for their patience, support, and cooperation, and instructed the contractor handling the project to fully mobilize to the site within one week.
He warned that failure to do so would compel the government to terminate the contract.
Before launching the 5-kilometre road project,the governor who was accompanied by his Deputy, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, and other members of the State Executive Council, commissioned a township road in Yandadi town.
The governor and his entourage also inspected the Kano State College of Education and Preliminary Studies, Ghari.
Yusuf assured the people of the state of his Government’s readiness to provide all necessary infrastructure to ensure that academic activities at the College continue without interruption.
