Gov. Yusuf mourns passing of esteemed leader, Wada Sinkin

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed condolences over the demise of Alhaji Wada Sinkin, who passed away on Saturday after a prolonged illness at the age of 85.

This was contained in a condolence message made available to the newsmen by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Monday.

The governor described the death as shocking and devastating considering the contribution of the deceased in the socio-economic development not only of his constituency but the state in general.

He said, “We received with shock but with total submission to the will of Allah the death of Alhaji Wada Sinkin, a former CRC chairman of Tarauni local government, a staunch NEPU supporter who fought bravely for the emancipation of the common man and a philanthropist.

“He was a successful business man of international repute, a honest and hardworking contractor, a respected elder statesman, and a philanthropist with sympathetic heart whose death create a wide vacuum difficult to fill.

“On behalf of the government and people of the state, I extend our deepest condolences to the family of late Wada Sinkin and pray to Almighty Allah to grant his soul eternal rest and grant him the exalted jannah,” Governor Yusuf added.
