Governor Abba Kabir Invites Gawuna to Collaborate in Kano’s Development

As the Supreme Court ended Kano Gubernatorial tussle by affirming Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf as the duly elected Governor of the state, the Governor (Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf) has extended  hands of friendship and  to his opponent of the APC, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna for the  development of the state.

Aliyu Yusuf, Director Public Enlightenment Government House Kano disclosed in a press release issued to newsmen on Saturday.

The visibly elated Governor stated this while briefing newsmen at the premises of the Supreme Court in Abuja immediately after passing the judgement that reversed the earlier judgements of the election Tribunal and Appeal Courts following back and forth for seven months.

According to Governor Abba, “as a true democrat and progressive, I Call on my opponent and his supporters to join hands with me in the crusade of developing our dear state Kano for the betterment of its teaming citizens.

“People of Kano needs leaders with vision, passion, zeal, and commitment of initiating projects, policies and programmes that have direct bearing to their lives in all facets and across  nooks and crannies of the state.” Governor Abba, stated.

Alhaji Abba Kabir thanked Almighty Allah, the most exalted for the victory,commending  people of Kano for their support, steadfastness, prayers, sacrifices and bravevity  in affirming what they  have elected  as well as  the Supreme Court Judges for upholding the glory of the Judiciary.

He also appreciated NNPP leaders at all levels and particularly the world leader of Kwankwasiyya movement, Sen. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso for his guidance and support during the trying period.

The Governor noted with the pleasure how President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Deputy, Kashim Shattima didn’t interfere in the apex court judgement despite stiff pressure from disgruntle quarters.
