Governor Bala of Bauchi Pardons Former District Head of Azare, Bashar Kabir

The Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has granted a full pardon to the former District Head of Azare and Danmajen Katagum, Alhaji Bashar Kabir Umar, clearing him of all previous charges.
The pardon was conveyed in an official letter addressed to the Katagum Emirate Council and signed by Nasiru Ibrahim Dewu, from the Office of the Chairman, Local Government Service Commission.
In his remarks, Alhaji Bashar Kabir Umar expressed deep appreciation to the Bauchi State Government for granting him clemency after several years of dethronement.
He thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for his magnanimity, noting that the decision followed an investigation that exonerated him from all allegations that led to his removal from office.
Speaking to well-wishers who gathered at his Kano Road residence in Azare, the former district head said he is now free to serve in any leadership capacity and reaffirmed his readiness to support and serve the government in any future role.
He also commended Governor Bala Mohammed for his developmental strides across the state and called on the people to continue supporting his administration.
The pardon effectively converts his earlier dismissal to a termination of appointment, with full restoration of his entitlements and gratuities.
