Governor Buni Extends Condolences to FUGA Following Tragic Fire Incident

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the management, staff, and students of the Federal University Gashua (FUGA) in the wake of the devastating fire incident that resulted in the loss of a student’s life.

In a press release issued by Mamman Mohammed, the Director-General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, Governor Buni lamented the tragic event, emphasizing its profound impact on the university and its community.

“The loss of this young and promising student is truly saddening. We pray for her soul’s eternal rest and extend our deepest sympathies to her family and the entire university community,” Governor Buni remarked.

Acknowledging the recurring nature of such incidents, Governor Buni urged all educational institutions in the state to implement robust preventive measures against fire outbreaks.

“With recent incidents at both the State University and now at the Federal University Gashua, it’s evident that urgent action is required to avert future occurrences,” Governor Buni stated.

He further instructed the State Emergency Management Agency to promptly provide relief assistance to affected students to alleviate their immediate needs.
