Governor Mutfwang Marks One Year in Office, Highlights Achievements Despite Challenges

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, has marked his one year anniversary in office, reflecting on the challenges faced and the successes achieved by his administration.

In a broadcast to the people of Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang acknowledged the security threats, legal battles, and civil service strike that his administration faced during its first year.

However, he emphasized that these challenges did not deter his government from working tirelessly to deliver on its promises.

Some of the key achievements highlighted by the governor includes enhanced security through the reactivation of Operation Rainbow and the establishment of a State Security and Information Center.

He said within one year, his administration has been able Clear salary and allowance backlogs for civil servants, Infrastructure development, healthcare provision, educational reform, agricultural enhancement, and power generation projects.

Construction and rehabilitation of road networks, including the Farin Gada-Gada Biyu-Polo Roundabout-Police Headquarters road and others.

Govenor Mutfwang maintained that his government Introduced modern transportation initiatives, such as the Tin City Metro and revitalized rail transport.

Others were Revitalization of public schools, reduction of tuition fees for state indigenes in tertiary institutions, and facilitation of accreditation of courses in state-owned institutions, Increased scholarship funding for Plateau State students and securing of PhD and MSc Engineering scholarships from Liberty University, USA and Procurement of fertilizers for farmers, training of youths in modern agricultural techniques, and development of 4,000 hectares of land for commercial agriculture.

Investment in the professional growth of public servants through training programs and recognition of their contributions with hazard allowances, salary adjustments, and promotions

Governor Mutfwang expressed his gratitude to the people of Plateau State for their support and trust, emphasizing the need for unity and collective effort to build a better future. He urged citizens to set aside ethnic and religious differences and work together towards a peaceful and harmonious state.
