Governor Yusuf makes new appointments

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has approved the appointment of heads of government agencies.

The announcement was made in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Wednesday.

Among the newly appointed heads of agencies are Engr. Ado Ibrahim Umar as the Managing Director of Kano Hydro Electricity Development Company (KHEDCO) and Alh. Auwalu Mukhtar Bichi as the Managing Director of Kano State Investment and Properties Limited (KSIP).

Additionally, Dr. Farouq Kurawa has been appointed as the Managing Director of Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA) who prior to this appointment, served as the Principal Private Secretary (PPS) to the Governor.

Other appointees include Dr. Tukur Dayyabu Minjibir as the Managing Director of Kano Agricultural Supply Company (KASCO), Hon. Hussain Sarki Aliyu Madobi as the Managing Director of Sustainable Kano Project (SKP), Hon. Sadiq Kura Muhammad, the Managing Director of Zoological Garden Kano (ZGK), Engr. Sani Bala, the Managing Director of Rural Electricity Board (REB), Hon. Shamwilu Gezawa, the MD of Kano State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA), Alh. Tukur Bala Sagagi, the Managing Director of Kano State Tourism Board.

The statement further added that, Alh. Yahaya Muhammad Idris has been appointed as the Managing Director of Kano State Printing Press, Hon. Adamu Yahaya as the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Kano Printing Press, Abba El-mustapha, the Executive Secretary of Kano State Film Censorship Board, Dr. Muhammad S. Khalil, the Executive Secretary of Kano State Watershed, Erosion, and Climate Change Management Agency (KN-WECCMA), and Dr. Dahir M. Hashim as the Coordinator of Kano State Watershed, Erosion, and Climate Change Management Agency (KN-WECCMA).

The statement emphasized that all appointees have been directed to assume their new responsibilities without delay.
