Gwale LGA Set For Transformation as Interim Chairman Unveils Development Plans

In a move aimed at enhancing the lives of residents in Gwale Local Government Area, The Interim Caretaker Committee Chairman, Hon. Abubakar Mu’azu Mojo has announced a comprehensive development agenda targeting key sectors.
According to the Chairman, as part of efforts to sustain the tempo of security in Gwale LGA as well as to curtail the rise of thuggery (Daba) in Dorayi ward specifically, the LGA with the support of Kano State Government has resolved to build a police Division in the ward.
Hon. Mojo made this disclosure on Wednesday during an interactive session with journalists in his office, Gwale Secretariat, Kano State.
He went on to reveal that with the support of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the LGA has allocated over 90 million naira to compensate households affected by the construction of the new Dorayi police division, expected to be completed within 2-3 months.
He equally revealed his administration has repaired faulty vehicles of policemen in the LGA to ensure smooth operations for the security agencies.
In the healthcare sector, Hon. Mojo said, they have settled hospital bills for over 2,071 patients and conducted 67 surgeries, including 1,000 eye surgeries, in just three months.
“We have plans of bringing dentistry equipment to be stationed at Kabuga Hospital, and healthcare facilities will be renovated across the LGA,” Mojo said.
On education, the Chairman stressed that the sector also received a boost under his administration, with the renovation of schools in deplorable conditions, including Unguwar Wambai School.
“17 slots have been secured for students at the Kano State College of Nursing Science, and a partnership with RUWASA to provide clean water in schools” he noted.
Hon. Mojo assured that under his watch, an orphanage home at Sani Mainagge will be rebuilt, drainages shall be cleared in all nooks and crannies of Gwale to prevent flooding, and they will embark on massive projects to rejuvenate the LGA.
“Palliatives have been provided by Governor Abba to victims of a recent building collapse, including cash and food items” he noted.
He equally announced the Government’s plans to provide empowerment funds of 50,000 naira to residents and fertilizer to farmers.
Hon. Mojo attributed these successes to the support of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his Deputy Comr. Abdussalam Gwarzo who equals as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the State.
While thanking Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s led administration. He assured residents of Gwale LGA that this is just the beginning of a transformation journey, with more programs to be unveiled, bringing hope and renewed optimism to the community.
