Gwale Zumunta Group celebrates Kano Commissioner of Commerce’s appointment, honors civil service promotions

The Gwale Zumunta Group has organized a special event to celebrate the appointment of Abbas Sani Abbas as the Kano State Commissioner of Commerce, as well as the promotions of civil servants and retirees residing in the area.
The group, comprising members from Gwale, Diso, Galadanci, Hausawa, Dandago, and Sani Mai Nagge, is led by prominent personalities in these areas.
Ahmad Abubakar Yunus, one of the organizers, explained that the group holds this celebration annually to honor the residents of the area who have received promotions or secured new job opportunities in their respective fields of service.
“Every year, our fellow community members are promoted within their workplaces, some are even fortunate enough to secure new job positions, such as moving from assistant director to the rank of director or from associate professor to full professor.
“We gather here to celebrate and encourage them in their successes,” said Yunus.
The newly appointed Kano State Commissioner of Commerce, Alhaji Abbas Sani Abbas, while delivering his speech expressed his gratitude to the Gwale Zumunta Group for celebrating with him.
He called for the establishment of Public Fund that would support the people of the area, particularly in the fields of education and healthcare.
Among the distinguished individuals celebrated during the event were, Alhaji Abbas Sani Abbas, Kano State Commissioner of Commerce, Professor Sani Malami of Bayero University Kano.
Others are, Dr. Ibrahim Ali Taura, Professor Nafi’u Sani Abbas, Khadi Aliyu Muhammad Kani, Malam Nura Usman, Umar Bako, Ibrahim Sayyid, and Muhammad Rabi’u.
