Hajj 2024: Gov Yusuf Gifts Kano Pilgrims 100 Saudi Riyals Each

Governor Abba Yusuf has given 100 Saudi Riyals to each of the 3,121 pilgrims from Kano State as a Sallah gift.
Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu,the Head of Media Team for Kano State Pilgrims, and also the Deputy Governor’s Spokesperson, disclosed this in a statement circulated to newsmen in Kano on Monday.
Garba said the gift was announced by the Deputy Governor of the state,who is also as the State Amirul Hajj, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, during his visit to the Kano Pilgrims’ Camp at Mina in Saudi Arabia.
According to Garba, the Governor’s generosity didn’t stop there, as each pilgrim had earlier received N500,000 to complete their Hajj 2024 payment and an additional N150,000 to supplement their pocket money, totalling 500 US dollars.
He also revealed that in another display of generosity, Alhaji Mijinyawa, CEO of Sahad Stores, had also gifted 50 Saudi Riyals to each Kano pilgrim as a Sallah gift.
He said the Deputy Governor urged the pilgrims to offer prayers for themselves, their loved ones, the progress and development of Kano State and Nigeria.
In a related development, the spokesperson said, the Deputy Governor also visited the Mina tents of pilgrims from all the 44 local government areas of Kano State.
He was accompanied by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon.Yusuf Jibril Falgore, Members of the State House of Assembly, Head of Service – Abdullahi Musa, Chairman of the Pilgrims Board Alhaji Yusuf Lawal, Director General of the Pilgrim’s Board Alhaji Lamin Rabiu Danbappa, Deputy Commandant General of Hisbah Women Wing, Dr. Khadija Sulaiman,among others, Garba added.
