By Mustapha Salisu
The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has confirmed that visas for all registered pilgrims from Kano State for the 2026 Hajj have been successfully received and printed.
Speaking from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Director General assured the public that the Board is not facing any challenges regarding visa processing for pilgrims from the state. According to him, all registered pilgrims already have their visas printed and attached to their international passports.
Sulaiman A. Dederi, Public Relations Officer of the Board disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen in Kano yesterday.
According to Dederi, Alhaji Matawalle therefore called on intending pilgrims and members of the public to disregard any rumors suggesting delays or problems with visa issuance. He urged them to avoid spreading or believing unverified information, fake links, or misleading messages that may cause confusion or unnecessary concern.
He further explained that officials of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board are currently in Saudi Arabia working tirelessly to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place for a smooth and successful Hajj exercise for pilgrims from the state.
The Board reassured all registered pilgrims that adequate preparations are ongoing to guarantee their welfare, safety, and proper coordination throughout the pilgrimage.
Alhaji Abubakar Matawalle also assured pilgrims that the Basic Travel Allowance (BTA) for intending pilgrims is currently being processed.
