Hasiya Bayero Paediatric Hospital to resume operations in a fortnight, says Governor Yusuf
Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reassured the people of Kano that the Hasiya Bayero Paediatric Hospital will resume operations in a fortnight.
He directed Dr. Abubakar Labaran, the State Health Commissioner, to work tirelessly to ensure the smooth restoration of the health center.
Governor Yusuf, while receiving Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, the Emir of Gaya, who paid him a Sallah homage, emphasized that his administration is committed to effectively implementing the free maternity policy.
He further reiterated the commitment of the NNPP-led government to refuse the evacuation and management of public properties, expressing concerns about the sanitation situation in the state.
The governor tasked his cabinet members to collaborate with the council chairmen in the various local governments to address critical issues. He emphasized that his government is focused on progress and not pursuing any vendetta in Kano.

The governor challenged his critics to keep records of his work and evaluate him at the end of his tenure. He also questioned why anyone in power would seize public property for personal use.
During the meeting, the Emir of Gaya informed the governor that the emirate had established a strong committee on vigilance to enhance security in the region.
