His Highness Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero’s four-year reign on the Kano throne has been marked by a commendable interaction with Kano state politics and politicians, showcasing his experience and expertise in uniting the Kano community.
Over the past two decades since 1999, Kano has witnessed shifts in political leadership, from Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf. Notably, Emir Aminu Bayero has adeptly navigated these political landscapes with wisdom and professionalism, demonstrating a commitment to bridging divides and fostering unity.

His impartial approach was evident in his consoling visit to the late Alhaji Musa Sale Kwankwaso, the father of Engineer Rabiu Kwankwaso, a gesture that resonated across the community.

An unprecedented development is the regular attendance of Sardaunan Kano, former Governor Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, at the Zaman Fadanci in the Emirate council. This inclusive approach has strengthened ties and created a unique dynamic, with Shekarau actively contributing, even translating the Emir’s speeches from Hausa to English. The Emir’s ability to draw influential figures like Shekarau into council activities reflects the wisdom employed in building bridges and fostering collaboration.

The relationship between Emir Aminu Ado Bayero and former Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje reflects mutual respect. Ganduje, instrumental in Aminu Bayero’s appointment as the emir of Bichi and subsequently Emir of Kano, acknowledged Aminu as the most suitable for the role in Kano.

Everyone knows that the connection between Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and His Highness Aminu Ado Bayero goes beyond politics, rooted in a shared bloodline as grandsons of Malam Ibrahim Dabo.
During his election campaign, the warm reception of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf by Emir Aminu Bayero underscored a special bond. This relationship, marked by brotherly camaraderie, exemplifies the Emir’s ability to connect with politicians at a personal level.

Emir Aminu Bayero’s role as a unifying figure has endeared him to politicians and the broader community. His reign has left an indelible mark, with politicians and citizens alike recognizing his impartial stance and dedication to fostering harmony.
As we reflect on his four years on the throne, we wish His Highness the Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero continued success, prosperity, and a long and fulfilling life.
