Hon. Rurum Unveils New Road Projects for Constituents
Hon. Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, the Member representing Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure Federal Constituency, announced several new road projects during a commissioning ceremony held last Sunday.
The projects aim to improve transportation and accessibility within the constituency.
During the commissioning, Rurum, the former speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, expressed his focus on improving infrastructure in the region, stating, “A good road is the backbone of any society. It facilitates trade, connects families, and promotes development.”
He noted that the newly constructed roads, including those linking Kulluwa to Chirin to Kode in Bunkure, Madachi to Gwargo in Rano, and Kofar Fada in Rano Dawaki, are essential for local residents.
Rurum also inspected the completed fencing project at the Airforce Secondary School for Girls in Rano, noting the need for safe learning environments. “Investing in education infrastructure is investing in our future,” he said.
The commissioned road projects also include links from Zinyau to Kasuwar Dila and from Kibiya to Nariya to Bacha in Kibiya Local Government, as well as Rano to Barkum to Kumurya to Kwanar Garko in Bunkure Local Government.
“These roads will ease transportation and promote unity among our diverse communities,” Rurum added.
