The Deputy Governor emphasized the importance of understanding operational guidelines, noting that they serve as the law governing their functions.
“You need to understand all aspects of LGA functions, including the budgeting process, and seek clarifications from your DPMs or Treasurers where things seem unclear,” Comr. Gwarzo advised the Interim Chairmen.
He reminded the 44 Interim Caretaker Committee Chairmen, Vice-Chairmen, Directors of Personnel Management (DPMs), and Treasurers that they were appointed based on their professionalism, qualifications, and the confidence the current NNPP administration has in them.
“You are all expected to be responsible in discharging all Local Government Affairs,” Comr. Gwarzo urged.
He also encouraged the seminar consultants to emphasize establishing cordial and sustainable working relationships between the Interim Caretaker Committee Chairmen, their vice-chairmen, DPMs, Treasurers, and other Interim Committee Members for the betterment of their respective LGAs.
