I will spend my last kobo to save Kore Community from threat of gully Erosion – Jigawa Senator

The Senator representing Jigawa North-west zone, Senator Babangida Hussaini, has promised to do all his best to save Kore community from forty years threat of Gully erosion.
According to report that for over 40 years now Kore community located in Garki local government area of the state, has been under he threat of been destroyed by landslide due to erosion caused by flood during each rainy season.
Residents of Kore town told our correspondent that they will now sleep with their eyes closed without the fear of being consumed by landslide.
Addressing his constituents at the flag-off ceremony held at Kore town, the Senator Babangida Husseini said, this is one of the promises he made during campaign rally.
He said the project will consume more funds and already machinery has been set to achieve the feast.
The Senator said the contract has been awarded and the equipment had been brought and mobilized to the site.
“We are representing our constituents and we are not just representing ourselves. But we are representing you people, you sent us there and for that I will do more for you people”, he said.
He explained that he could not declared how much the project will cost, but he can spend his last Kobo to make the project succeed.
” When I visited Kore people during the campaign rally, and they invited me to inspect the gully erosion threatening their lives for over forty years and I promised them that I will help them to control the erosion whether I win the election or not”, he said.
