IGP Egbetokun Hosts National Police Commissioner Of The Royal Bahamas Police Force,Reiterates Commitment To Strengthen Security,Training Partnerships

The Inspector-General of Police(IGP),Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, on Thursday received the National Police Commissioner of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, Commissioner Shanta Emily Knowles, OM, on a courtesy visit at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance international policing cooperation.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin.
During the visit, Hundeyin said,both leaders held strategic discussions on deepening collaboration in key areas of modern law enforcement, including training and capacity development, intelligence gathering, security partnership frameworks and improved border management strategies.
According to him, the meeting reinforced the shared commitment of both institutions to combating transnational crimes and fostering stronger operational ties.
Egbetokun expressed appreciation of the Nigeria Police Force for the renewed cooperation, noting that the partnership presented significant opportunities for mutual benefit.
He emphasized that the exchange of expertise, joint training initiatives, and collaborative security efforts would contribute immensely to strengthening policing and national security outcomes in both countries.
“The Nigeria Police Force remains committed to advancing meaningful international partnerships that enhance national and global security,”the statement added.
