I’m disappointed with your absenteeism, Gov Namadi tells LG chairmen

As part of effort to fight against absenteeism in civil service, the Jigawa state Governor, Malam Umar Namadi paid an unscheduled visit to some local government Secretariat and health facilities.
Namadi has also warned the 27 local government chairmen and other political appointees and urged them to dedicate their service to the citizens of the state.
The Governor who was visibly annoyed for not meeting some council chairmen on seat when he paid an unscheduled visit to four local governments on Tuesday.
He undertook an unannounced inspection tour to Kyawa, Miga, Jahun and Kafin Hausa local governments, did not meet the chairmen and some directors on seat.
According to him, henceforth, any chairman noted to be absent from his duty post without any reason will be queried to explain why.
Among the four local governments, the Governor visited only the chairman of Jahun local government was found on seat.
The Governor since assumption of office in May 29, 2023, made it clear to all his political appointees to be staying in their various offices and work instead of moving from one place to another.

Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has expressed disappointment at the absenteeism of some local government chairmen and other political appointees from their duty posts.
Namadi made the remark while on an unscheduled visit to some local government secretariats and health facilities on Tuesday.
He said that he was visibly annoyed for not meeting some council chairmen on seat when he paid an unscheduled visit to four local governments.
The Governor undertook an unannounced inspection tour to Kyawa, Miga, Jahun and Kafin Hausa local governments, but did not meet the chairmen and some directors on seat.
