International Youth Day: Gombe LG Boss Hails Gov. Inuwa for Offering Permanent Jobs to GOSTEC Youths

The Chairman of Gombe Local Government and Chairman of ALGON in Gombe State, Barrister Sani Ahmad Haruna, has lauded Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for approving the employment of youths trained under the Gombe State Traffic and Environmental Corps (GOSTEC) as permanent staff.
Speaking during the International Youth Day celebration in Gombe, Barrister Sani described the move as a clear demonstration of the government’s commitment to empowering young people, tackling unemployment, and reducing idleness.
He noted that many of the beneficiaries have now become productive members of society, a sharp contrast to their previous struggles with joblessness.
Barrister Sani urged the youths to uphold honesty, integrity, and patriotism, stressing that they remain the backbone of any nation’s progress.
One of the newly employed youths, Musa Abdullahi, said the GOSTEC programme transformed his life from job hunting to actively contributing to the state’s economic growth.
A Young Fatima Mohammed, expressed her delight at securing a government job after receiving training in website design, praising the state government’s efforts to secure a brighter future for young people.
The event drew government officials, youth groups, and civil society organizations, with discussions focusing on youth development, education, and economic advancement in the state.
