Int’l Day of Disability: JONAPWD Appeal For Full Implementation of Disability Law in Jigawa

The Joint National Association of People With Disability (JONAPWD), Jigawa chapter has called on Jigawa state government to fully implement the disability law.
The call was made by the state chairman of the association comrade Adamu Shuaibu while presenting his remarks to mark the celebration of the 2023 International Day of Persons Living with Disability in the state, held at Jigawa State Polytechnic Dutse.
He explained that the celebration was organised by Person Living with Disabilities By JONAPWD with support from Donor Partners (PANE, ECP-PERL, ACF/ESPID among other partners).
“I want to use this opportunity to urge all stakeholders and support full implementation of the Disability Law, particularly the Jigawa State government”, he said.
The chairman who also called on the Persons living with Disability to ensure they participate in all affairs of life and demand inclusion in any interventions, urged the Government to set aside a specific percentage in all social interventions for People With Disabilitis.
