Isah Commends Kano, Edo States on Handling of the Uromi Killings

The Executive Director of PUMA, Salihu Othman Isah, has lauded the governments of Kano and Edo States for their effective handling of the recent incident involving the killing of 14 hunters in Uromi, Edo State, highlighting their commitment to maintaining peace and security.

During a PUMA congress meeting in Abuja, Executive Director Salihu Othman Isah expressed appreciation to the governments of Kano and Edo States for their timely and effective response to the unfortunate incident that claimed the lives of 14 hunters from Kano in Uromi, Edo State.

He said under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State and Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State,the group appreciated the swift actions taken to address the situation, ensure justice, and maintain peace in the region.

” Notably, the leadership of both governments paid condolence visits to the families of the bereaved, demonstrating their commitment to the welfare of the victims’ families.”

“Furthermore, we commend the governments of Kano and Edo States for their generous financial donations to each of the bereaved families. These gestures demonstrate the governments’ empathy and support for the families during this difficult time.”

“We urge both governments to continue working together to prevent such incidents in the future and to promote unity and understanding among all Nigerians.” Isah stated
