Jigawa APC suspend LG party Chairman over alleged rape of 14-year-old girl

As part of punishment, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Jigawa state chapter has suspended the embattle Roni local government party chairman Alhaji Sale Idris who was arrested for alleged rape and impregnating a 14-year-old girl.
The suspension was contained in a letter signed by the state party chairman Hon Aminu Sani Gumel and made available to newsmen.
According to the letter, the allegations against the Mr Sale have contravened Article 21.2 (Vii) and (X) of the APC constitution 2022 as amended.
The letter then directed Mr Sale to hand over the local government party affair to the vice chairman to allow the legal process to take its cause
Mr Sale Idris a 56-year-old was arrested by Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, for allegedly raping his house girl.
According to the NSCDC, the suspect was arrested on Wednesday, following a complaint lodged by the victim’s brother that the suspect raped and impregnated his 14-year-old sister who was a house-help at the suspect’s residence.
“A brother to the victim reported the case at NSCDC Roni LGA Division after the suspect refused to take responsibility for the pregnancy. Instead, he was pressuring the family to go for abortion” NSCDC revealed
