From Mika’il Tsoho, Dutse
Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi, the wife of the Jigawa State Governor, recently visited several hospitals in the state, where she distributed aid packages to patients.
During her visit, she stopped at Dutse General Hospital and Rashid Shekoni Teaching Hospital, where she met a woman who had just delivered triplets.
Speaking to the press, Hajiya Hadiza explained that the purpose of her visit was to sympathize with the patients, in line with the tradition of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The First Lady, who congratulated the mother of the triplets, also donated items in both kind and cash to provide relief to the patients.
While addressing the condition of Dutse General Hospital, Hajiya Hadiza emphasized the need for the government to intensify efforts to improve free maternal and child healthcare in the state.
“Pregnant women and children are more vulnerable than others, so I urge the government at all levels to redouble efforts on maternal and child health for better development,” she said.
She concluded by praying for the patients’ quick recovery and promised to continue working towards the betterment of women and children in Jigawa State.
