Jigawa Golden Stars Resume Training After Six-Month Relegation

After a six-month period of relegation, the Jigawa Golden Stars football team has reconstituted and resumed training last Monday.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of Jigawa Golden Stars, Comrade Ibrahim Isyaku, and made available to newsmen.
According to the statement, the team’s resumption followed efforts by the state governor, Malam Umar Namadi, in collaboration with the Commissioner for Information, Sports, and Culture, Sagir Muhammad, who facilitated the formation of a new management for the club.
“The new management of Jigawa Golden Stars has officially resumed training as of Monday, 21st October 2024, and has instructed former players to report back to the team,” the statement read.
The management emphasized its commitment to ensuring fairness in the selection of players, stating that the process would be based on quality, credibility, and competency.
The statement also urged all players to display talent, discipline, and good character to help elevate the club and the state to higher levels in the football arena.
