Jigawa Gov’t signs MoU with ITF to create jobs for youths

The Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Industrial Training Fund (ITF) with aims to create job atmosphere for the teeming Youth in the state.

During the signing, Governor Namadi also promised to be ITF ambassador in the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), urging the governor, to puts jobs creation for the teaming youth as first and major priority.

Malam Namadi who expressed fair on the number of jobless youth a cross the country and the present situation of economic hardship, said “it was my basic problem during my campaign days the number of youth comes out where eve we arrived to campaign. It’s gave me a lot of concern and some times trumar because these guys most be taken care of. Of not being taken care depenatelly we are sitting on a time bomb.

“it is our responsibility for all of us to takes care of our youth. That is what informed our decision to create and agency for youth empowerments and employments and all finds alternative for funding for sustainable for the agency this to show our commitment and concerns for the youth of JIgawa state” he said.

The governor maintained that “on how to develop the youth is to provides them with skills, after searching all round to achieve this we came to conclusion to partner with this agency (ITF)”.

He the JIgawa state would sustain the collaboration with ITF in order to achieve the objective of empowering the youth in the state.

Namadi said under the collaboration the agency and the state government trained 250 youth on different skills and additional 500 of pipes line and hand pump repeats and maintenance.

Governor Namadi stated further that the state embarked on the renovation and fully equipped seven major skills acquisition centers in the state, “our plans is we will train our youth and gives them capital to start with good and effective monitoring and supervision to takes up and sustained”.

In his part the director general Mr. Joseph N Ari expressed gratitude to the state government for partner  with them on how can translate the landscape and human capacity which founds in abondence in Jigawa state to productive youth

Mr Joseph N Ari said the agency studies the governor’s 12 points agenda and we find a place you have given for space for the development for the human person, the agency provide a template for realizing you objective.
