Jigawa Senator Builds, Hands Over N200m PHC Clinic

From Mika’il Tsoho, Dutse

The Senator representing Jigawa North East Senatorial District (APC), Senator Abdulhamid Ahmed Malammadori, has built and handed over a primary healthcare clinic worth over N200 million to the Jigawa State Government.

The clinic, located in Yayari ward in the ancient city of Hadejia, was fully constructed and equipped by the Senator and donated for the benefit of his constituents.

While presenting the medical facility to Governor Malam Umar Namadi, Senator Malammadori stated that the initiative was a direct effort to complement the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Umar Namadi in providing accessible and quality healthcare services across the state.

“This primary healthcare clinic was built and fully equipped by me after assessing the urgent and pressing medical needs of this area”

“We decided to undertake this project personally, rather than through the usual constituency project route, because the need was immediate and vital. By the grace of Almighty Allah, we have been able to complete it and now hand it over to the state government for staffing, maintenance, and operation” the Senator said.

He added, “The people are in dire need of this facility, and we have fulfilled this responsibility as part of our commitment to serving the people. We will continue to do our best to uplift the quality of life in our communities.”

In his remarks, Governor Malam Umar Namadi commended the Senator for the initiative, describing it as a landmark contribution.

“This is a solid, standard project that can stand comparison with any facility in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. It is highly commendable, especially as it is the first of its kind built and donated by a Distinguished Senator,” the governor stated.

He further revealed that the state government is building one primary healthcare center in each of the 281 political wards across the state, with about 70 percent of the projects already completed.

He called on other federal lawmakers to emulate Senator Malammadori by prioritizing the health and well‑being of their constituents.
